The app stores what you enter in the diary: for each night, the times you got into bed, tried to sleep, woke up for good and got out of bed; how long it took you to fall asleep; how often and how long you were awake; how you rated your sleep quality; optional notes; and, with Dawnlog Pro, optional naps, medication and caffeine entries. It also stores your settings (reminder time, widget preference) and your Pro purchase status.
All of this stays in the app's private storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection. We have no access to it.
Sleep information is health-related data. Because it is processed only on your device, by you, for your own personal use, we do not act as a controller of this data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection.
Like most apps, Dawnlog's data is included in your device backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), under your own Apple Account and Apple's terms. We keep backups enabled on purpose, so you do not lose your diary when you change phones. We have no access to your backups. You can exclude the app from iCloud Backup in your iCloud backup settings.
The Home Screen widget shows last night's sleep duration and your average over the last seven nights. The app shares with the widget only the date of that night, these two durations and the time until which they are valid, in the app's private shared container. The widget's content is hidden on the Lock Screen. You can switch the widget to show only "Log last night" in Settings → Hide data in widget.
PDF reports and CSV exports are created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet; where you send them is your choice. The app deletes its temporary export file after sharing. The name you can type into a report header is placed only in that PDF and is not stored by the app. The file name contains only the date range.
Dawnlog Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy; we never see your payment details. We receive only aggregate sales statistics from App Store Connect. Purchase status is verified on your device.
The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. Its text never includes any diary data.
We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or advertising services of any kind, and the app does not track you across apps or websites.
Settings → Delete All Data removes every entry from the app and the widget data. Deleting the app removes its local data; your device backup may still contain an earlier copy under your Apple Account.
Dawnlog is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly process data from them.
Because your diary never reaches us, we cannot access, export, correct or delete it on your behalf; the controls in the app do that. For the support e-mails we hold, you can ask us at any time to access or delete them at jovic76@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new effective date. If a future version of the app sends data anywhere new, the app will tell you before it does.
Dawnlog is a personal diary. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or give health advice. Values are calculated only from what you entered. For interpretation and health decisions, talk to your doctor.
